Mt. Calvary is a pentecostal church that has been in the Avondale Community since 1956. Throughout the years, many have been saved, santified, and filled with the Holy Spirit. We are excited about what God is doing in His Church. We invite you to come out and hear the teachings of the Word of God through our pastor, Elder Daren Ward Sr. Jesus said; Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.” Matthew 11: 28-30 . God loves you more than you'll ever know! So come out to one of our services, and learn for yourself, what God has done for you.
Every Sunday morning starting at 10 a.m., we have Sunday school. Come out to hear the Word being taught. Ask questions about the lesson being taught to gain a deeper understaning and how it may apply to daily situations you may face. Learn how to impliment God's Word into your daily lifestyle. "Your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of God." 1 C

Don't forget to bring your kids. We have a separate class set up just for them. The classes range from elementary to our high teens class. We have lessons that target each grade level. So come on out, and bring the whole family.
